Default Advice Needed - Quickly

I test rode a 2020 Heritage 114 today as well as a 107 Road Glide (also 2020). Since 2003 I have logged approximately 140,000 miles on five touring models, the last being a 2016 Road Glide Special. Today was my first ride in 2.5 years due to health issues now resolved, and it felt great. I'm 69 years old. The Heritage appeals to me due to its lighter weight and appearance (two-tone spruce with white walls). The Road Glide is familiar and comfortable - plus it has the Reflex safety options and the upgraded radio/nav. I'm torn and would welcome some input. My concerns with the Heritage were the handlebar position, although the dealer said tilting the bars a couple of inches toward me is not a problem, as well as a buzzing in the seat at around 3,000 rpms (the Heritage I tested is not the one I would buy). The buzzing was troubling. There it is. I have to make a decision quickly as the Road Glide will no longer be made in the 107 with Reflex, and it's the last one in inventory. I will be riding solo and not 2 up. Thanks.

Buzzing in the seat can be fixed by getting a different seat. The Sundowner and Saddlemen seats vanquished the problem on my Fat Bob.

For me, they are two different beasts. I personally would go with the road glide over the heritage but that is just personal style. What did you fee more comfortable on?

Why not get a Road Glide Special? 114, Reflex system, better windshield set up for long rides..

You're going to get a lot of opinions on this one. Indeed they are two different beasts. I did the same this past weekend. I went with the 2020 Heritage 114. To me, the bike was lighter and easier to move around. They both were comfortable. I didn't get any buzzing in my seat. There is a very very slight vibration in the grips and floorboards - but definitely not a show stopper. I just liked the looks of the Heritage. I didn't need all the fancy radio stuff - just give me my cellphone and Sena headset and I'm ready to roll wherever the road takes me. Both nice bikes - different in all aspects - can't go wrong with either. I think the price and the weight of the bike sold me on the Heritage. Good luck!!

Thanks all. Happy to hear the Heritage buzzing is not a deal killer. The Road Glide was a little more comfortable, but probably due to familiarity . A Road Glide Special is more $ than I'm comfortable spending. The price and weight of the Heritage are selling points. The Reflex on the Road Glide may balance out the Heritage weight savings. I'm torn. Any opinions on shifting the Heritage bars toward the rider? Keep the opinions coming and I'll let you know the decision.

Never a need to buy a bike quickly.......
sales man bullpoop.
Slow down and think about what you want and what works for you.
Heritage all the way for me but you do lose saddlebag storage. Tunes don't matter to me when i am riding. And the lighter bike is fabulous. 2 up most of the time and love the Heritage. I just laugh at bagger guys struggling with their big monsters.
been there done that.

The reason for the time deadline is valid. After Covid-19 production suspension and resumption, Harley will not build any more 107 Road Glides with Reflex. It will only be available on the Road Glide Special. Only one 107 RG is left in inventory.

I'm thinking about dropping my handlebars down an inch - inch and 1/2. I'm used to lower bars, so that may make a difference for me.

I’d go heritage all day. I truly believe with the heritage you get the best of both worlds. You have the comfiness of a mini touring bike and the more precise And lighter handling of the Softail line up. You also have the more powerful engine.

bar set ups are rarely perfect for anyone, and that Shouldn’t be enough to steer you away from the heritage. Remember that you can always add stuff to the heritage to make it even more comfortable, but there’s only so much you can take off of a bagger. It will always be the largest and heaviest of the whole line up .
