I made my own Muller type lowering for my FXBB and with the Big Radius from V&H the ground clearance it not that much anymore. It just depends on the exhaust type if you want to lower your bike, I only did 3/4 lower
and the the exhaust hits the ground when cornering at higher speeds.

N°1 - I made to replace N°3 which is the stock part , N°2 - I made a bit shorter and cut a bit deeper thread, That's actually what you get if you buy a Muller set for a non adjustable shock.
Hi, I was looking at the Müller lowering kit just last night, very well made. I get what you’re saying about the Vance & Hines big radius though as having them fitted in a couple of weeks. Might have to rethink this.
