Agreed, you bought in a bad market plus California where the Covid was spreading rapidly. Either ways you got a smoking deal. Here in IL, the supply has almost dwindled for the 30th Anniversary Fat Boy and many have advance booking. When available they are going for $25k OTD.
I found one who is willing to do $23.5k but after reading your other thread I quoted $22k to him thinking at the very worst I will miss out on the 30th Anniversary model but could always buy the regular fat boys at a significant discount close to winter. I just got a V-Rod/Street Rod this summer and bide my time with it as there is hardly about 2 months of riding left in the Chicago suburbs / WI bordering areas here where I live.
I just received my stop gap cheapo (comparatively) fun HD for this summer-fall. A 2006 HD V-Rod/Street Rod (see pic below) . I will be patient and on the look out for any off season deals since now I am not set on having the 30th Anniversary model at any cost
That a cool bike you got and I would do the similar upgrades if I got a Fat Boy. I like that color - Bonneville Salt Denim much more than the actual Blacked out 30th Anniversary Model. Sadly that particular 2018 Fat Boy I was looking at "Sold".
Thanks. It's actually Bonneville Salt Pearl. It really comes alive in the sun. First white bike I've owned, and I don't regret the color choice.

Well, things could be much worse for you. At least you've got a sharp-looking fun machine while you're looking around. Nice ride!

My apologies. Yes, its Bonneville Salt Pearl. Not sure why I typed Denim, maybe coz I was looking the matt colored denim SGS bikes. Still trying to debate if I should a 2019+ SGS or a Fat Boy. Those Bonneville Salt Pearl ones are not available for the 2020 year.
My friend got some xyz'th limited edition bike and it was nice knowing that he got it. But he also likes to mod bikes which he can't with his limited edition HD....

That feeling... Duh... Tearing him apart. 😁
Why can't he mod it? I don't see myself ever changing the paint or the color-matched Ventilator and derby cover on my 30th anny Fat Boy, but I'm going to swap out the bars, exhaust, saddle, front fender, get air suspension, Stage 2, grips, mirrors, shift linkage, shift peg, turn signals.. There's plenty you can change without altering what's unique about the LE bikes.
He can also hang onto the original parts and either put them back on when he sells it, or just sell them with it. Too much money to buy the bike to not make some changes and make it his own. If he's of a mind to that is.
