Recommendations for my 2020 Softail Deluxe 107....Vance and Hines 300 Eliminators, Rinehart or S&S Grand Nationals? The Milwaukee 8 has a different sound. Rineharts on my twin cam sounds great but on my 18 slim they sound like the motors coming apart? Milwaukee 8s just sound different so Im trying to see what you all are using that keeps your M8 sounding like a harley should? Got any sound clip videos
I put V&H Eliminators on my 2019 Deluxe. Not obnoxious and they sound good. I've had an occasional O2 sensor fault in hot weather, and my butt dyno thinks I've lost some low end torque, but I have no data to back that up. I'm going to try quiet baffles to see if it helps. From what I've read it doesn't do much to lower the volume, but it might help with the O2 issue and the torque. If not, I've wasted $50 on crazier things than this.
If I had to do it over again, I'd probably go with 50 State legal S&S or the Rinehart 3.5", for no other reason than I haven't tried them......so the grass must be greener, right?
I was torn between the S&S and the Rinehart 3.5". Went with the Rinehart's on my 2018 Deluxe. Paired with an FP3 and S&S mini teardrop. I'm happy for now, Sound, performance and looks suit me.
I went with a different exhaust,I listened to all of the above mufflers but found Tab Performance flipped my switches.Made my M8 sound the way I thought it should. The one's with the 2 1/4 baffle.

I have tried the quiet baffles on my Eliminator 300's and I think they make quite of difference compared to the Eliminators without the quiet baffles. Also I did gain a bit more low end torque with the baffles installed.

I’ve got the eliminator 300s on my flfbs 114. Nice sound with out being “in ya face”. I’ve just ordered a set of quiet baffles for them, as I’m starting to do some longer runs with a pillion and coms set. Hoping it will make communication a little easier with a quieter set up, but they are not really overly loud anyway.
Got the Rhineharts on my wife’s 19 Deluxe. They look good and I think they sound great. Coincidentally also have Tab on my Sport Glide, but it’s 2 into 1, so not a good comparison for you. (But it also sounds great.). Think you have all solid choices there.
I got the S&S Grand Nationals. I like my pipes loud. These Grand Nationals have a great sound especially when you get on the throttle hard and when you are decelerating.
But, they are not real loud. I would like them to be louder. So, in essence, I am "satisfied." Not "ecstatic."
