I called American Custom. For a small fee they sent me a prepaid shipping box and packing material for my mufflers. I took off my mufflers and mailed them. In a short time they were back and on the bike. I think they sound and perform great. I will be keeping them on the bike.

If you send your mufflers round trip, I believe you can do this with little tax or duty. You are getting back what you sent them. You pay only based on the value of the modification.

I thought I saw in another post you were running S&s slash cuts on your heritage? If I am correct what is your thoughts on the comparison of the two slip ons? Stock mufflers with American customs work v.s S&s slash cuts.again if I got my post mixed up disregard.

The S&S slash cuts were slightly too loud for me. The bike runs great with either muffler, but I like the sound of the American Custom modified mufflers better. Also, the S&S muffler was a little too short under the right saddlebag. Mufflers other than Heritage/Deluxe models are different and I assume they may have a different sound when modified.
