Default Fat chizel or fat mini apes

Hi just put my deposit down on a new heritage 114, I am having some things done right away before delivery and one is bars. Anyone tell me how they like the fat Chizel? I like the Chizel look but wonder about 27.5” may be narrow? And I have seen some post with short comments about them being dangerous??? I am 6’3” and looking to just be comfortable
thanks

I sat on a bike at the dealer with fat chizel bars. They seemed WAY too narrow to me. Go with the mini-apes, I guarantee they will be much more comfortable.

I'm trying to decide the same thing? I'm leaning towards the narrow chizeled bars though. I think the "dangerous thing" is simply bullshit. Most apes will take you out 30 inches and more, but I think I'm ready for something different. I'm debating on the HD chizeled or Todds Strip bars. Would like to get some feedback/pics also

I wouldn't say the chizeled bars are dangerous, but they sure felt weird and extremely awkward. Would take a lot of getting used to. They'd be great for lane-splitting, but I would not have them on a bike I owned. Different strokes though...

You might be right. I never actually rode with them, but there sure are a lot of guys out there riding with the narrower bars, usually on dynas, sportsters, etc.
I do like the looks though.

I’ve been seeing your posts and was hoping for you to answer that you pulled the trigger 😁.
I am not looking to re learn how to ride on a brand new bike because of handle bars. I will most likely get the fat mini apes from H-D

I'm just doin all the research on parts and all and plan on beginning the tear down sometime during the winter. I'm probably gonna go with the Chizeled bars but....damn their expensive! Also, a pain in the *** figuring cable lengths and all. But I guess that's part of the fun

B&R has the correct way to find what bar size you need. Link below, scroll down main page to measuring new bars tips.

Lil advice dealing with Carlini, insist on shipping insurance. He packages everything very well but if the shipping carrier damages the bars in transit he's not responsible and that carrier will only re-reimburse up to $100.
Been there, done that, friggin carrier screwed me. Lesson learned, and with the covid BS today that package is going to get thrown around a lot.

Goona post a few pics, you decide what you like. That heritage I'd think you may be more interested in the Menace(last photo)
