Default Modified battery tray!
Any of you guys considered cutting a notch in that plastic battery bracket so that you can get to the positive terminal easily? Was doin some work on the bike and it sucks that you can't even run a simple voltage check on the battery because the + terminal is covered. Pain in the *** to get that cover removed also.

nope got a pigtail for battery tender and check voltage there if I needed to
Also my Power Vision displays voltage

The M8 Softail comes with a battery tender pigtail already built into the wiring harness.

I'm electrical challenged, admittedly. When I would test battery voltage, I'd connect meter to both positive and negative on battery and go from there. So my question is, how do I do this, if I can't get to the positive terminal because of that plastic cover? You can stick those leads into the ends of the tender connector?

Yes, one is positive and one is negative. Go to the same on the battery.
