if you have a FXDR you have those threads on yours.
Ricks Coustoms makes a really cool steal rear mud guard/fender, I just couldn't do the $700 plus for it.

No I have a grubby little Street Bob SoCa that I'm losing the fender struts and rear guard to drop +/- 15 or so lbs on so looking for options.
I do see that I could tap a thread but your rear guard would be too wide.I looked at old Ducati plastic/carbon guards but fitment is a lottery.
OP your rig is started to look nasty good man.

Amazing stuff. I'm a few months into owning a 2020 FXDR and I'm looking for a new rear fender setup. I really like this one here, but I've heard they take 6 months to complete and are super expensive.

https://heartlandbiker.com/products/...33fcbab8&_ss=r

Does anyone know of any similar alternatives, or longer fender setups for the FXDR that put the rear fender lower?

Not the biggest fan of "daddy's boys " but this looks like a bargain compared to the Heartland lunacy.

Looks like the seat is 400 but still under a K if you shop around and can't fab your own rear fender/struts.

'thought installing a rear fender ( any fender that fits the tire) was not that high on the difficulty scale?
