Good morning All, Gave my Son 17" Todds Stripper bars for his Birthday.
He has a 2020 Lowrider S and we are looking for anyone who might have them as well.
We need a shopping list of parts to do the installation.
Checked with Local Dealers for them to do the install, 2 of them quoted 7 hours labor !!
Any help is appreciated. I did find a shopping list on a Youtube video but it was for an older and different model softail.
I had the dealer change out my bars when I bough the bike, I negotiated it in the deal. I noticed on the invoice they showed 7 hours labor to change my bars too. Seems like alot, but guess that is the going dealer rate.
Just curious, do you have basic hand tools?
Changing out bars is honestly not overly complicated, it can be time consuming but personally, Id never, ever pay a dealer or any tech 7hrs labor to do it, thats just crazy.
There is a plethora of YouTube content that goes over every aspect of a bar changeout.

We have lots of tools, we just want to get what we need before we start so that downtime is at a minimum.
I did them on my Softail Custom a few years back.I don't have a list with me currently-I'd have to do some digging.I do know I didn't buy new wiring,I just spliced each control wire individually, and shrink wrapped the bundle on each side.I used RSD 1"(?) risers.I'll try to see if I can find the receipts for the cables to see what I went over stock. It might be in this thread.....I haven't reread it.
An allen for the riser clamp, t25 abd t27 for hand controls should be all you NEED, it can be done on these with the tank in place, I always remove it. some string to pull wires, a safety pin to realease the pins from connectors. Thats all you need, and 7 hours is bull feces. First time I did an internal wire bar job took me 4 hours, now can be done in less then 2. Add an hour to bleed brakes if you change the brake line
