Hello,
I have a 2018 StreetBob with stock air cleaner. I want to upgrade to an Arlen Ness air cleaner. Do I need to tune the bike? I also have V&H slip-ons and don’t plan on upgrading the exhaust.
Generally if you touch intake but not exhaust, or exhaust but not intake you will be mostly ok. These things are set factory to run lean to meet EPA.
once you change slipons or intake you are most likely increasing the lean condition and should have some sort of tuner to match the fuel/air
I really appreciate the info. Don’t know much about bikes but I’m excited to learn!

I have a 19' m8 114 with a stage 2 kit and a SE tuner. The dealer installed the stage 2 kit and tuned the bike and it ran great for about 500 miles then started to run poorly, loss of power, vibration, sounds muffeled, etc. My question is this, is it possible the bike lost the tune? Should I try to flash the bike? Would that likely help? My dealer is 3 hrs away so looking to fix it meself. TIA
