Default Blinded by the light..

What are you all doing to minimize the bright reflections from the chrome on top of your bikes? I really don't wan't to replace everything with black although I will probably make it a priority on my next bike, that is if I every get rid of my Sport Glide...

The top of the triple tree, dash chrome, handlebar, riser clamp. I’m used to the blackout on my other bike and never really had to deal with bright reflections from chrome. Now I’m thinking I need to change the above mentioned things for black or get some black out covers or peel and stick tint or something.

Well I use a tinted visor on my FF helmet during the day. My handlebars are black but the other pieces you mentioned are chrome......for now on my bike. I really don't notice a blinding light from any of it. Sure, sometimes the sun hits it just right and it'll have a nice reflection on it but never annoyingly bright. Maybe travel down a road with more turns than the interstate?

Yeah, every now and then, I'll get an annoying reflection from the glass on the speedo, the gas caps or from somewhere else, but "they all do that". Just don't look directly at it and keep moving. It'll go away sooner or later.

Get it dirty...ride vs. show/shine.

Its funny but I have a ton of chrome on my bikes and the only issue I have is on the speedo glass. I also ride with tinted riding glasses... Perhaps its as simple as that...

I have gotten that glare before, here may be a solution for you. The gauge visor.

Only problem I’ve ever had with reflections from chrome was the top of the instrument cluster on my ‘94 FLSTN. That part is black in my ‘19. The other shiny parts don’t bother me.
