Default Suspension adjuster bracket breaking
All right guys I need some detective work here. Lately I noticed a lot of people deal with this and I even made video on this on my YT channel so people are aware but big question is WHY and HOW is this happening? I noticed this is really common issue and I was ahocked to learn how many owners experienced it. WTH???

My understanding is that this was common on the 2018's and several people had warranty replacement on dented fenders. Harley changed the spec on the bolt that was breaking. I've yet to read or hear about this failure on the '19s and newer. Maybe some owners of newer bikes who've had this breakage will chime in....

It hasn’t happened on my ‘19 (and I look every day-the sprung saddle makes it easy to sneak a peek).

I HAVE SEEN POST OF 2019 OWNER THAT HAD SAME FAILURE Sorry for caps

I just wonder what is causing this it is weird spot to see such thing as technically nothing should touch this spot and breaking screw takes some serious force

I have no clue.

I am afraid it might be the case as this is just slowly surfacing now. I replaced my screw as soon as I learned about it

I’m wondering if the stock seat could be pressing against the shock adjuster under the weight of the rider.

That is what I am thinking. If thats the case I would expect mark to be on the seat pan. Glad I went with Corbin

I can’t say, as my stock seat has no marks and my adjuster bolt hasn’t broken. Now I run a spring saddle and have plenty of clearance.
