First post here so thank you in advance. Currently a 2018 Triumph Thruxton R owner. I test road a Low Rider S last week. It has risers and a stage 2. I enjoyed the bike and I am talking with my local dealer about it.
I want a better fairing and I love the look of the RWD FXR fairing. They are quoting me $7,000 Prep, paint and install. That seems way high to me but I am trying to get an idea of realistic numbers before responding.
Has anyone had a similar fairing done that could share?
Thats way too expensive. There are tons of people making FXRT style fairings. Most are in the thousand(s) of dollars range for the fairing and bracket itself. Paint matching is costly but not that costly. Id recommend getting it and doing it yourself
just checked it out. RWDs fairing(not painted) and mount kit for the FXLRS is around $1400 before tax. Lets just say $1700 with tax and shipping.
they want 5300 for parts and labor ?? Get out of here.
Buy it, have it professionally painted, and then install it yourself
Order color match paint from color rite they have your paint ready just select model and year. Secondly I would just mount the fairing yourself I have one on my 19 Lowrider it's not hard to do.
