Question When this happens………

Had a nice ride going into work, had a even better ride coming home. Get home and I’m clearing out my pockets, and I can’t find my fob? I jump in the truck and drive all the way back too work and home again checking the road just in case they are laying in the street somewhere, No dice there gone.

So it’s a trip too the stealership sometime today for a replacement. Good thing I remembered my PIN number. Quick question does the stealership need me with the bike or can they just program the new fob with my vin and registration?

You will find it as soon as you buy another one.

They need the bike. The fob doesn't get programmed, the bike does to recognize the fob.

Sucky deal, losing your FOB, any idea how it fell out...where did you have it (jacket pocket, pants pocket)?

It was nice enough weather too wear a flannel overshirt with side pockets that I thought were pretty deep….. In my case not deep enough.

Anyone else just miss a key. I hate this fob thing, even on the cars.

Yep I miss the key too.
Ive had a spare key to everything Ive owned and had to rely on them enough times in the past to justify spending a couple bucks on a spare fob so I dont get left stranded in the worst place at the worst time.
Peace of mind is better than a raging mind looking for a lost fob!

Yes. I realize lots of people here want their bikes full of “tech,” but that’s not the experience I seek in a motorcycle.

Nope, much prefer keyless, just stick it in your pocket and forget about it for the rest of the day.
