ok, so i've decided to go with gloss black engine parts. i've already picked up the upper and lower rocker tops, cam cover, & timer cover, tranny top & side cover, and all the black hardware also. the only piece i got in wrinkle back was the narrow primary cover & derby cover.
i'm also going to add the Kahuna shifter peg and Kahuna foot pegs for the front pegs, instead of the standard basic front foot pegs.
i'll post pics as soon after it's all done...
For me the first things to go on my 2021 fxst were the seat and stock cans, followed by the license plate bracket, mid controls and most recently new bars, riser bushings and led signals front and rear.
I drilled the rear fender for a custom dynamics radius bracket and led frame and chopped the oem bracket up to use it for wire management on the right side. If you need any advice or help on exactly how I did it message me.
Its a fun bike to customize for sure. Im just about done with mine, still thinking about a tank swap though.
have fun.
the outside is the same kinda material they use on their seats, on the inside it has plastic walls to keep its structure. Ive had $200 full leather bags in the past and will take this one every time, hands down.
I also dig the zipper pocket in the top flap and locking buckles, neat little extras.
