I agree. There is ALWAYS somebody who will tell you how you should do things. Ignore them.

Actually, I'm thinking about doing the same thing you are, trading in my 2020 Heritage for a new one. I'll probably end up waiting though because right now dealer prices are sky-high ludicrous. I just recentIy installed a new battery and rear tire, so I don't mind waiting.

Well I just traded in my 2020 for the 2022 today. I thing I got a fair deal taking in to consideration my 2020 needs tires, brake system flush and the 10,000 mile service.

I don't know what the OP had in terms of the 2020... But the current 2022 choices for the Heritage are poor in my opinion. Poor - as in - paint colors, flat black cast wheels (awful), over the top on the blacked out bits (particularly flat/matte black), single gas cap, tank badging, windshield frame blacked out on windshild with black lower, etc... There isn't a single offering that I woud trade my '18 for. If I had a gun stuck to my head and had to choose a 2022, I'd go with one of the chorme w/laced wheels options.

My 2 cents.

Hey OP, I did the same thing. Screw these guys throwing shade on you. I bought my wife a new 21 Heritage, all black - black paint and no chrome. She loved the bike, but hated the color. I dumped it and bought her new 22, blue/black paint and blingy chrome. She loves this one and has put over 8k miles in it since January when I got it new for her. BTW, she turned 60 last Saturday.

So cheers to you and me!

It was $4,500 and considing my 2020 needed over$1,000 in routine maintenance and the warranty is about to expire I look at this 2022 cost me $3,500. Also the dealer threw in a new engine guard. Not to mention my 2020 was having mechanical issues that the service dept. said they could find the reason. I am happy to have the 2022 at those prices.

Taste is subjective obviously, but I disagree. I really like that black and blue with the black cast wheels. Problem is it would cost me a small fortune to do all the mods again - ape-hangers, stage 1, etc.
