I know. Let's see, wait 3-4 months or pay almost 3x retail.

I think that I'll go order two, then sell one for $500.

The worst thing is that I have one installed. When I did my latest upgrades, I installed a new map. Not knowing that the FP3 has that switch turned off, I thought that I did something wrong.

I took the cruise control switch apart and when putting it back together I lost the tiny piece of plastic that acts like a spring.

Now it won't stay working properly because that little piece of plastic kept the circuit board from touching anything.

The plastic piece was black, covered in grease and about a 1/4" long and maybe a 1/64" round. The floor under my lift is black matting and dirty.

I wonder if older harley cruise control switches are the assembled the same way.

Yes, all Harley parts are expensive. Some lately have been over-the-top expensive. Not to start a political discussion here (PLEASE DON'T), but I was never a big believer in supply and demand. Just sell it for a fair price and leave it at that. Don't take the opportunity (or worse yet, CREATE an opportunity) to price-gouge because that is exactly what it is.

If I have a part, I always sell it for a fair price. In fact usually a little less because I want it to just get it done. On eBay, for example, if I see a price that is way out of line, I report it and call them out on it. Not sure anything ever really happens but I try. It's what right.

Glenn, however, does have a point. Within reason sometimes you must pay the price or wait months for the part. It's a judgement call depending on the part. I was in that situation last year and had to take a rental to a bike rally. Now, I have two bikes. Coincidence?

Bottom line, if you are jacking up the price, you are not a brother, you're a thief.

The nuts are the ones buying but with supply chain in chaos , no choices sometimes. I’ve been waiting since December for a rear turn signal wiring harness for my trike.

Mine was ordered July 1 with 7 weeks backorder.
Now January 28 expected shipping.

If I needed it for a trip, I would pay more to get it on time.

They don't show it in the diagram. Same as they don't show the little circuit board that is attached to the pushrod that the cruise button is attached to.

But thanks for your help.

Lol. I still have mine sitting in the box. It finally came right as we were moving/prepping the old house for showing and I haven't gotten around to installing it. With prices like this, maybe I should put mine on eBay and upgrade the front suspension instead.

Sometimes that is the difference if you can get it now at a higher price or do you want to wait untill winter to get it at a more reasonable price...
