Who has switched off the stock tires for all the Fat Bob guys? I know many have but looking for experience with switching to radial tires and how they perform, any downsides you have noticed or upsides, and are you running radial front and back or just the rear? If I change, I'm leaning towards the me888s; the dealership mentioned going with a 180/65 if I wanted to stay bias ply, as the exact size is radial.

I have used Avon Cobras on both my Dyna and Softail Fat Bobs, and they are game changing compared to the stock Fat bob tyres. You really can't go wrong. Much better handling and grip both wet and dry.
Think I will stick with the stocks until I "need" new tires then maybe see if the cruistec are in stock If I move away from them, to stick with the same type and size tire that is on it.

Good thinking. I certainly wouldn't throw away a perfectly good set of tyres to change to something different. The stock Fat Bob tyres are adequate, but not great. Put 8K miles on them and then bin them.
I have not heard many people rave about the Metzelers, but I have heard a lot of people tell me that they absolutely love the Cobras. Certainly from a word of mouth perspective they are the best choice, but there are plenty of other options. Pirelli Night Dragons also get talked about favourably.
You can also go up to a slightly wider 200mm rear tyre on the Fat Bob with the Avons if you like. The profile is a little lower on the 200, so the circumference ends up being about the same. It does look cooler and doesn't really detract from the handling. That's what I did on both of my Fat Bobs. But each to their own.
The Avons were great, when I burned through them I went with the 888s. Got tired of the goofy snake and British flag on the avons. Ive got 3k on the 888s they are holding up well, not as sticky as the as avons but not bad.
