General question: do all the new M8 softails buzz or have a high frequency vibration through the handlebars when adding taller handlebars, say up to 14" apes? Or just certain models? Appreciate any perspective, experience with this. Thanks.
Sadly, it's going to depend on all kinds of things like the construction and length of the bars, the type of risers and bushings, the type of handgrips, etc.... It's the same motor across the Softail line, and that's where any vibration is coming from, but it's difficult to give a yes/no answer because most people's bikes are different.
In general though, longer bars are more likely to make any vibration more noticeable at the hand grip.
You might consider some Avon memory foam grips or similar. They would certainly help. Or potentially different bushings.

Hope you get some good responses

I've been able to find a couple of comments. The general consensus is that the new softails do "buzz" with a high frequency, especially compared to a road king for example. I'd like to here more about it, though.
Mine buzzes, 2020 Street Bob with the 107. Ironically, it got better when I put the 16" apes on. I guess maybe the DNA bars had thicker walls so the weight damped it? I also put on some Avon memory foam grips and that helped quite a bit. I had the Kuryakyn ISO grips before that, but they actually made it worse because the fitment on the throttle side was so loose.

I don't mean to hijack but I am also interested in this issue. I looked at those Avon memory foam grips and they come in 1.375," 1.5" and 1.625". I am guessing most people with average size hands go with the middle 1.5"? I measured my stock grips and it looks like they are 1.5"
I had some of the Kuryakyn ISO grips on one of my other bikes but they felt too big and I took them off. I think I may try those Avon grips.
