Default Muffler modd ?

Gotta ? about the modification i did on my stock slips, with not knowing what to expect when attempting to de-baffle the stock mufflers in order to install some Thunder Torque Inserts. After a failed attempt on trying to go through the end of the muffler, i cut an inch off the end, with the baffle pulling right out, thinking that the cat would come out as well. But much to my chagrin, the cat was still up in the front, but after much deliberation, my first thought was, these slips shouldn't effect my warranty even with the TTI's installed since they still have cats. So i proceeded to complete the TTI install with the cats still intact, and the bike sounds pretty good for 50 bucks. No decel pop, and no loss in bottom end power, not sure what the db's are, but at least the village idiots should hear me coming now. Still kicking the can around about which exhaust upgrade i want, so i figured id play around with some TTI's at the moment. I guess the question is, are the slips still le-git?

Shouldn't have any issues as far as warranty is concerned because the cats are still in. Buddy of mine did the same thing on his bike and the dealer never batted an eye. Worked well enough to last him until he ordered his aftermarket exhaust.

Yeah man, i started to pound the cats out at first. But when i shined my light through the muffler, i could see plenty of light shining through. Its not as deep of tone im looking for, but its not raspy either, the TTI's do a great job at toning down an exhaust it seems.
