I changed the rear light on my FLSB to get rid of that really dumb design. I have lights that go around my license plate. For more safety I want to add back the original LED tail lights by attaching them to the bags, I think. Does anyone know if you can add additional lights to the BCM circuits without doing anything drastic? (link them to the existing wiring)... i.e. no special resistors, etc. This is on a 21 flsb...

Thanks in advance.
I'm not exactly sure what you have added, but I used the Blackmill bracket with a Custom Dynamics license plate frame, I think it was the TF06-BCM, and it works well with the turn signals. I did replace the stock lights with CD PB-RR-JAE Probeam Red LED turn signals. Should be fine with the stock signals.

LED's and incandescents run on the same circuit may cause issues when on the blinker circuit. If you try to sync them and throw a code, you'll have to switch your incandescents to LEDs.

My '21 Sport Glide came with LED's in the rear signals and incandescent bulbs in the front signals, they are on the same circuit and do just fine. I plan to switch the front ones to LED's in the near future, might have to rebalance the BCM by running the flashers, but that should be about the extent of it.

it doesn't always work. My bike would not sink the hogworks mini LED's but kodlins worked.

What do you mean by "rebalance the BCM by running the flashers". I didn't know that this had any effect!
I replaced all of mine with the HD signature lights before I put more than 6 miles on the bike... They are very visible...
Then I went hunting for a fender hugger fixture and found one that I used to replace the rear lights. The giant ugly license plate illuminator was then gone and I was happy.
The guys I ride with complain that they can't see the difference between brake and tail lights (doesn't catch their eye at least) but they are old like me... so I have an idea how to mount the original signature lights to the bags and run the wires in the bags to the junctions under the seat (low to the bottom of the shortest bag and level on the longer bag between the tire and the bag). I am glad to hear that I can do this and keep the license plate lights with them.
