I was at the local dealer last week getting my yearly inspection done on my 2007 Deluxe and had a little time to kill. Over in the corner of the showroom were a few of the new Heritage Softails. A silver one with all the chrome kept calling me over so I gave a sat. While I didn't have time for a test ride, I have to say it felt very well put together. No loosey goosey just solid. Are you happy with yours? Is there a big difference between the new and the older frames? I've always enjoyed the feel of mine but this seemed a different animal entirely. What say you and thanks in advance.

The 18+ Heritages are a very different animal in a good way, at least to my taste. My '19 is the best motorcycle I have ever owned. The biggest differences from the '17's and earlier are more power, better handling, better rear suspension, lots more cornering clearance, better mileage and of course less weight. To me the downsides are mostly cosmetic. They managed to give the sidecovers a Honda Shadow vibe and a plastic look (they're metal). They reduced the metal gauge in the fenders and tank and the fender end trim parts don't fit at all. The stock exhaust and motor do not have a great sound and the motor makes a few 'interesting' noises. Having said that, I use my bike to run errands and to take interstate touring trips. I smile whenever I look at it. Obviously I'm a huge fanboy and you really should ride one for yourself. Maybe it's not going to be your cup of tea.

I like to ride it, its a great bike. Arguably the most underrated bike in the Harley lineup
