Change if doing cam. Otherwise, send it
I’m gonna change the pump when I do a cam swap this winter, but mine has run like a top for 40k miles include rolling at 80mph for a full fuel run in 90+degree temps with no issues. So if you’re planning on doing a cam swap, then change the pump out at that time. If not, just keep and eye on the oil inside the dipstick tube. The first sign, aside from the engine feeling sluggish, is you’ll start seeing some frothing in the dipstick tube in addition to having more oil doing through the breathers.
