Default Which cam for sound?

Yeah, I know, another cam thread. I'm just looking for some better sound from my 2020 Heritage 114 with just the stage 1.

I was riding my '12 sportster custom not long ago, stopped outside a hardware store and a guy says that's the first time I've heard a motorcycle in years that sounds like a motorcycle should. The sportster does sound great. The Heritage is powerful as a freight train, but the sound is just sort of generic, not much character to it. I'm sure you M8 owners know what I'm talking about.

Both bikes have Tab Performance pipes. The Heritage is clearly superior in every way but sound, and sound matters.

I'm just looking for aftermarket cam that makes these M8 softails sound as good as they ride. Any ideas, or experience with this? Would just a Screamin' Eagle do the job?

I recommend Zippers Redshift 468. Great lope.

Apples and oranges, your Sportster has 4 cams.

Star racing 30-30 sounds magnificent from what I have heard personally.

The best "sound" doesn't mean the best responding / performing

I have heard a few great sounding M8's, but have yet to hear one that sounds as good as a 1200 Evo.

TTS175, RS468, Star 30-30, and the S&S 475 all have a great lope sound. Spend the $ on a good tune to optimize performance.

Literally any aftermarket stick will improve the sound so you don't have to worry about that part. Call Fuel Moto and get one spec'd for the type of riding you do and your setup.

CR480 and Star 30/30 are the best sounding cams IMO.
CR480 sounds sick:
