I have Rineharts and while they look good and sound good at idle, do not really do much for me going down the road. Granted, you never really know what your bike sounds like unless you have a friend ride it up and down the road and you listen. I inquired about it with my local custom shop last year. I said I want to get my sound as close to my 02 WG with V&H Big Radius as possible. He said with the M8 I will never achieve that same V-twin sound, but he does nothing but custom work and said "we can get close"
But as always, I am open and listening to any and all research.
Note: My motor, for some reason, has this strange whistle sound which I need to drown out (or whatever it takes). My wife's 21 does not have that sound. In fact her V&H 300s have an awesome sound at idle and going down the road. I would go with those (and a new cam/headers/whatever) if they could be a little louder.

Not saying, there is not truth to it, I like my cammed carbed TC. But its not a shovel. Which many people consider the last bike to have the harley lope. Do you really want to waste money and effort chasing a sound you hear at idle, or that maybe other people hear? Nobody cares what your bike sounds like. In fact most people do not want to hear a harley.
