I don’t know if this has been brought up on this forum. I recently saw the picture above on space book. I was aware of the problematic brass bushings used for the kick stand’s so i am addressing it now as I am getting ready to install the bung king block. The bushings on mine are in good shape but I think I will rebuild as the video show’s. Just a heads up.

The fix or rebuild. Anyone know of a steel bushing available do tell, Or a better rebuild remedy would be appreciated. The better threaded pin is on the 2022-2024 models. As far as the bushings I don’t know.

Going by the picture and video, seems like the problem isn't the bushings but the retainer clip. Hopefully the new bolt design adequately corrects this.
Do not see a nylon bushing being an upgrade over brass.

the bushings wear and get sloppy and then you lose the clip. The bolt is better because you won’t lose it. The brass bushings are still going to wear and get sloppy. maybe not as fast. Steel bushings would be better. The nylon was a temporary fix I think seeing he went back to brass.

Looks to me like it basically levers the clip off. The stand *****, and it looks like it's pushing the bushings outward axially along the pivot shaft when it does so. But I'm going by what I see in the video, don't have one in hand to examine. If that's the case, seems like it might snap the bolt head off too. Almost looks like it could use a wave spring and some clearance. But again, I'm just going by the video images.
I know he says the brass bushing is worn in the video, but it didn't look it to me. But yes, brass is the soft metal here, so it will wear first. Steel would rust and bind, but stainless might work. But then the shaft itself and perhaps the stand and mount will get increased wear.
Then the age old argument of grease trapping dirt and grit, wearing things down, vs a dry lube, vs dry and unlubricated. Farmers have been fussing and arguing about this for as long as there have been disc cultivators and hitches.
I just had this happen in December. Went to do a Christmas toy run ride when it happened. Scared the **** out me. The bike never fell but it was a serious worry till I got to the dealer to fix it. They charged me about $100.

what year is your bike? Is it pre 2022 if so did they put the upgraded pin? Good to hear it did not fall over.
