Gotta ? about the speedo/cluster on my 21 bob, to which I'm planning on a 5 gallon tank swap at some point this year, and kinda sorta want to move the unit from the bars to the tank. Is it possible to get a good used speedo from from a Heritage or Slim off ebay and do a plug and play, or will a new speedo be required from Harley and have them flash it so the odo is correct?
I did some similar research on this a while ago. I have a 21 street bob and was looking to convert to a traditional speedo. I didn't go through with it, but my research led me to believe that mileage etc on the can-bus bikes is stored in the ECM. Meaning, you should be able to do what you want and it be plug and play. Probably worth a call to the local service department to verify before you buy a gauge. I was looking at a gauge from Koso just now. They state their product is plug and play.

Yeah man thanks for the input, ebay has a boat load of used Harley speedos on the cheap howbowdit
I'm in the process of putting a 2023 Lowrider S speedo on my 22 Bob. Mounting it on top of my Original Garage risers and clamp with one of their speedo housings.
It's plug and play. You will need a tach/speedo from a 23 lowrider S along with the harness. The connector on the back of the cluster is different from the Bob, however the connector that plugs into the bike is the same.
DO NOT BUY A USED SPEEDO anywhere. The speedo will marry to the bike after 30 miles, and will be useless on any other bike thereafter.
I'm also doing the 5gal tank swap as well. Just need to order the fuel pump.

Yeah man good deal, definitely looking into a new speedo for sure for the analog feature.
I must be the only one who hates the tank mounted speedo. Having to look down with a FF helmet is no good. I like the place on my 22' LRST much better than my 20' Fat Bob.
I think the Street Bob would look great with a round analog guage mounted on the risers like the Low Rider S (not ST)

Absolutely agree with you. I also hate the digital gauge of the 'bob. I miss the analog tachometer
Below is the look I'm going for..
In my case, I'm using Original Garage Risers, ODI bars, and Original Garage Gauge Pod.
Do you have straight riser or pull-back risers? Can you take a side profile pic? I'm trying to relocate the gauges on my Low Rider but I have pull-back risers. The only generic dual gauge mount I can find all have an angle and with the pull-back on the riser seems like it would make the gauge almost vertical and wouldn't look right in my case since I'm only using 5.5 inch risers.
Seems like the only option is to get matched riser and gauge mount but they're sooo expensive...
