I've done 11.5 hours straight in the saddle from SoCal to Salt Lake City (and then back again a couple of days later) on a stock Street Glide seat w/a backrest & an Airhawk pad.

I've also done a saddlesore 1000 on a Corbin w/ a backrest & an Airhawk pad, along with padded motorcycle underwear (Moto-Skiveez).
The Corbin is certainly firmer than the OEM seat, so I was concerned about the Airhawk pad not being enough on its' own.
The shorts were rather pricey but they really helped keep my backside in shape after 22+ hours in the saddle..

I've got the Airhawk pad & the sheepskin too, both work well.

I have never seen the HD pad before.
Does it stay put?

It would also be important to have good motorcycle jeans, that would be comfy and breathable for summer.

An elastic strap hooks under the front “horn” of the seat. The back can move around a little when you are on/off but it doen’t move much or come off. It adds a layer of cushion to the seat and ventilates. One thing I really like is that when the bike is parked in sun the pad does not get hot at all, unlike the bare seat cover. Not sure what is at work there but it’s a nice attribute in summer.

Because I don't use them. That company does have the same type with a fly. In fact they've several fly designs.
Amazon Amazon

And if you're adventurous and curious, there's this, which is surprisingly comfortable. Separation makes quite a difference. Haven't yet spent a day in the saddle in them though.

I ordered some with the fly, with an enlarged prostate a fly is essential, LOL. Thanks for the link.

Good advice. Even if you have regular jeans, be aware of the beltloop spacing. If there are too few loops, your belt will pull up between them and and not wrap around your body from loop to loop. If that makes sense. I never found that to be an issue with the ones I wear, but apparently in women's jeans, it's a concern.

Not sure what kind they are but for long rides, stretchy denim is quite comfortable. Not the coolest look (compared to naturally faded jeans) but if you are going 200 miles to a destination, not with a group, who cares?

Default Lamb Skin for the win?

I'm interested on the Lamb skin seat cover for my seats. First for the natural padding and second that it doesn't get hot in the sun.
My question about riding with the Lamb skin is, how do you/we keep it dry? How do we clean it and/or how often should we clean it?

I live & ride in Florida, where if it's sunny - give it a few minutes and you'll be getting wet.

P.S. I actually already have two skins that I want to use to make seat pads for the two bikes below. It's the question of them getting wet or how to keep them dry that is what has stopped me so far.
