Lighting
Can the indicators be adapted to include a running light or is it better to have them
separate?
Any suggestions gratefully welcomed.
And then find your LED bulb of choice ...there are two good types, and smoke or clear glass on the Chinese sales site, and there are cheap horrible ones. Have a good look around. They get here in a week or so.
Fog lights is probably something separate you want to run, and mount lower down.
You also need the crimp pins, and carefully re use the 4 pin shells under the tank.
My point is, last year I decided to go with LEDs which add a significant amount of light up front. In fact, at night, the high beams do not add much additional light to the road. I am sure I would be blinding anyone coming in the opposite direction if I left them on. So now with the light bar, I suppose I could re-mount that and purchase passing lights and be seen from space. But honestly I like the look and it does make it look different than the stock setup that my wife's 21 Heritage has.
All that said, I am not sure how that might help the OP with a Sport Glide. Just food for thought. LEDs are amazing. As a bonus the rear now runs red like a touring bike rather than just blinking as a turn signal.

Another would be to keep the turn signals on the bars and run a running light wire from the 4 pin turn signal connector under the tank to wherever you want them.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
The first shows one running light of each. The pic doesn't really do it justice but the older Harley look alike on the right of the pic is whiter and sharp in your eye, whereas the newer style are quite dull in comparison. The newer diffused look vs discrete leds is maybe where that comes from. Now that said, I went for a smoke lens, maybe the clear is brighter, don't know. I might order some up anyway.
The older type will get you see better me thinks.
Turn lights I don't think there is much in it visibility wise.
The new style have a really neat profile
