What you are considering is venting your crankcase through the transmission top cover, which requires the removal of the transmission top cover.

I'm not Steve and it still requires the removal of the transmission top cover.

I am wondering, since the cover that the MOCO is using on the CVO's doesn't have a check valve, but it does have an oil separator, if packing the well where the opening to the oil tank is with some filter material would keep oil from coming out of the hose when using a modified stock top cover? It might catch the oil mist and allow it to drain back into the tank.

I took my exhaust off and with some mini tools it was not too bad. I had no oil in my filter and my bike does not use oil. After my cam went in I called fuel moto to ask there opinion. The tech I talked to said I would be fine just running the oil level at half way. So I held off. I have run all my Harley’s at the half way mark. The only puker I had was my 92 fxr bottom breather. I did install the trask a while later just in case I guess. It was never a question as far as modifying the stock cover or trask. I was not going to put the cheap plastic cover back on.

Guys.. the Harley cover is readily available and only $115 up here in Canada. Not even worth modifying the stock cover
