Will wrapping it help ?
"Correction" he did not use the terminology (pipe wrapping) he said,,,, fiberglass taping,,,, not sure of the difference .
I have Rinehart slip on Sport Glide 2 into 1, stock head pipe, stock motor with 31.000 mules. They perform good and have a nice tone to the sound. But too quiet for me. The baffle is a solid piece with no wrapping on it and is removable. I called Rinehart, he said about the only way to increase the sound would be to put pipe wrapping around the outside of the baffle this way the exhaust would move through a little bit more unrestricted. He said that would take away some back pressure and it may not perform quite as well ,but would add to the sound making them louder.
Has anyone done this? If the power loss is not real noticeable but the sound increase is, I would like to do it. Won't be easy to get the baffle out, it's in there very tight.

I've only seen baffles with wrapping/packing make the exhaust quieter. Maybe using like the DEI heat wrap stuff, to block the exhaust from going into baffle perforations. I would pull the baffle out and see how you like that sound, might be a little raw. With just with a butt dyno, I don't think a stock motor and head pipes would see much difference in power just by pulling a baffle. I pulled the baffles from my old fat bob, but that was twin cam, and it still had the cat in the x-pipe, Fuelpak went on later and really woke it up.

I've been researching most everything looks like it would make the exhaust quieter. I don't know why the Reinhardt guy gave me this advice unless he really just didn't know. Your suggestion has crossed my mind..
This one….
Or this one?
I corrected my statement above he did not say pipe wrapping he said fiberglass tape so I don't really know what that difference is. I agree you, would think a pipe wrapping would actually make it quieter? I need to look into fiberglass tape . I don't want it to melt into the baffle.

The wrap would probably seal off the perforations, making it more of a strait pipe, instead of like the cotton-y/ fluffy stuff would let the flow in and muffle it some. Like Phil said, more flow more volume. I'd personally just yank the baffle and see how it sounds without it, give you at least an idea of how loud it could be

My wife purchased a slightly used 2019 Sport Glide with 2K miles a few weeks ago thats new to us but came with what looks like your same exhaust setup. I think its the stock head pipe and has the Rinehart slip on single. My other bike has a Bassani catless head pipe and a cam and the Rinehart DBX 45 exhaust and that bike is MUCH louder than my wives bike.
I assume her cat is in the head pipe? I am not noticing excess heat so I can't tell if her bike still has a cat or if it has been removed of it came with a cat? based on the sound I am assuming it still has a cat?
I wonder if addressing the cat would help the sound if a cat is actually on this bike?
I know a cam would help but her bike is running perfect and the sound is good just not great.
This may be the first Harley I do nothing too as its running that good???

I have the same set-up on my Sport Glide. I think what Blackout 25 is saying, regarding the exhaust wrap, is also what Rinehart is saying and yes, that will make it louder, or at least, less "bassy" (is that a word???). Covering up the perforations will basically make it a straight pipe.
On another note, I tried to remove my baffle to install a DK Customs "lollipop" and I was not able to get it out unfortunately. I worked it for a while and no matter what I did, that ****er was in there so I just gave up - hopefully you have better luck than I did!
Lastly, @Soundman5000, on the Sport Glide the CAT is in the stock slip-on, not in the head pipe so I can only assume that the Cam/ exhaust combo is what's making yours MUCH louder than the Rinehart with the stock head pipe.

I believe the cat is actually in the muffler, I might be wrong since I dont got a sport glide. My heritage had them in the muffs but they were there before the M8s and the dyna/softail combination.
If you guys want LOUD, I will say, of all the slip ons I looked at, the Tab performance w/ Zombie baffles is what I went with. Loud, set off car alarms and rattled window sills loose.. kind of "unrefined" sound, especially on the decel. Since my cats went bye, I added a SE tuner (warranty), and after figuring out the smart tune it ran like a dream. and the price aint too bad.

---I'm selling my tab zombies, went to a full system, but they dont match for the sport glide.
**EDIT**
heres a link to the vid that sold me on them. I never took a vid of mine, but this is pretty close to in person, especially with alot of the nonsense staticy soundsclips online.

No, I dont work for Tab lol
