Im switching to touring bags in my 23 Heritage, ran into an issue on the front mount for the brackets. Instructions show, the front mount tucks inside of the swingarm, and using a longer screw thru the passenger footpeg, a nut and washer from inside hold on. To those that have these, did you just mount them on the outside, between the swingarm and footpeg mount? Left side I could make work, It needs yet a longer screw to fit but and washer. But there's no way without taking off back wheel to get a tool on it. The right side is worse, with the back brakeline running to a junction right behind the peg mount.
Curious what others have done when running into this?
I've not done it, but I've seen it done several times now.
Most were some variation of jammed in there up front. One or two just had it dangling free at the front. One had worked with lots of bits of strap steel and washers from a hardware store.
Somewhat seems to be what bracketry was used. Hogworks, Amazon, etc. As they don't all appear to be exactly the same.
