Hey all, I'm going to be installing an LP6 on my 2020 FXLRS, I will be making the harness myself, but I've got a question, I see that all the kits are using (2) 4 pole Bosch style relays, one for low beam and the other for high beam. My question is, couldn't you just use (1) 5 pole Bosch style relay? Low beam (2 of 6 LEDs) going to the normally closed 87A, and when high beam is triggered, 87A cuts off, and supplies power to 87 (4 of 6 LEDs), the relay is rated up to 30A or is this the way to have all 6 LEDs fire at the same time? Any input on this?

 

technically yes, but the BCM might throw a code for not seeing any current (even if its small) on the low beam or high beam circuit (depending on how you wired it)

also, all 6 fire on high beam even tho you have no power to the low beam. this is why you cant have both powered at once.
