Anyone done the FXRT or FXRP fairing on a Low Rider S?
Thinking about picking up a 2025 LRS and adding one of these fairings. Not sure about all the available options. I'm sure it's been done, but what about anything new.
Suggestions? Also thinking about waiting for the new 2026 models to see if they will offer chrome on the LRS (fingers crossed).
Don't really want the ST cuz I am not that crazy about the clam-shell bags; prefer the leather-soft bags.
**side note, I have seen this done a Road King - that would be something I would consider too, only disadvantage would be you are stuck with those hard touring bags.
I ran one on my 2020 fxlrs. I bought mine from jd custom’s. The 3 other popular ones are Russ warimount klock werks and villain 2 hero. There is also an amozon nock off. I have since gone to the advanblack st fairing but iam thinking of putting the fxrt fairing back on. The fxrt is a little better on the highway. The jd custom required no cutting and bolted right up. I paid $1500, it comes in raw fiberglass with the brackets and headlight. $800 to have it prepped and painted.
I put replica FXRT fairing, lowers, and bags on my 2020 Lowrider S in early 2021. All the parts came from JD Custom Fabrication. The fairing offers great protection, even at 85 mph. The lowers are good in the rain and not bothersome in Tennessee summer heat.
