2021 Sport Glide, put on a Rinehart slip on. Sounds better works great, no tune. Added a breahter, completely chokes and needs a tune. Put the breather back to stock until I can get it on a dyno.
2018 Street Glide, Air Breather, Basani 2 into 1 Shorty (full system), S&S 475 Cam, Roller Lifters, Cam Chest, Oil Pump. Vance and Hine FP3. Sounds like a stock car, huge cam lope at idle, extreme torque increase. You need to hold on when merging onto a highway and it will smoke the tire at 10mph.
The M8 is a great motor, lots of powder, very reliable. You can go as little or as much as you want. I mostly do touring, long trips, interstate and state roads. I might change the Bassani Pipe for something that exits the back of the bike. It currently dumps before the saddle bag. It is a little loud aftre a 5-6 days on the road.
The Lowrider S now has the 177 HO, so it has a cam in addition to intake.
Intake on the 117 HO doesn't look any different than what they have come with for years. The cam that is in the 117HO still leaves a lot on the table. The M8 responds extremely well to a cam upgrade. I wish I had a video clip of how my old Street Bob 114" with CR480 cam sounded. It was very "Harley" sounding.
First ride other than the 3 miles at the dealership. Did 25 miles and this thing rips even with break in power usage. Handles far superior to my Dyna. My FLD is MY BIKE, but this FXLRS is a going to be fun.
Looking forward to the tall boy seat arriving. I am a bit crapped with my 34" inseam.
Pipes\slip ons have so many different choices. I lean towards after market exhaust that replaces the whole system. Let your budget be your guide. I have a 2 Brothers Racing 2\1 on my '24 Heritage that cost around $1000 and love them. Subtle enough for the neighborhood, but bellow when on throttle. These M8's do not sound like a old Shovel or Evo, but do sound decent with the right mods.

You need to read this article on breaking in procedure. Your bike will be better for it.
I did my ‘25 LRST break in following this procedure and I think it worked well. One of the most important things I think is the initial oil change. There’s a lot of crap in your oil that doesn’t need to be there for the first thousand miles. Be sure to use non-synthetic oil for this first change. You don’t want to use synthetic oil until your bike is fully broken in.

I think when he was saying intake, he was talking about the air cleaner. Even at that, the air cleaner on the HO is different than the previous years. While the .511 cam isn't the absolute as a performance cam for the HO and does leave a lot on the table, the HO is the first Harley I have gotten that I didn't feel compelled to immediately do something to increase the power. It really runs pretty good.
There are a lot of things different about the "25 LRS and LRST HO models. They have the Gen 2 heads which have oval intake ports, which requires a different intake manifold. As far as I know, there is not an aluminum replacement offered yet unless you go to HPI and then use their 70 mm TB. The stock throttle body is 58 mm instead of 55 mm and takes a different air cleaner than the older models. The stock cam is .511" lift and you can go I think to .550" lift without a valve spring change. They have three driving modes, highway, sport, and rain. They do not have internal breathers in the heads, crankcase pressure is relieved through the transmission top cover. I'm sure there are other differences of which I am not aware.
I have S&S Grand nationals on my 23 lowrider St. Sounds like a Volkswagen with a hole in the muffler. Has deacceleration pop. Fit and finish good. Stock tune thinking about going for a tuner.
