I really like how visible the wheels are, I fell in love with these mags and it was a major part of choosing this bike. Once I saw the blue and black, I wanted it with these mags in the black trim. Removing the hubcap and changing the rotors really opened it up.
New battery installed today, ready for the season. Went with the best AGM numbers for CCA and amp-hours. Really hoping it is better than the old factory battery. A two year holdover bike, then battery drained on delivery did not serve well. I am taking OEM battery back one more time to see if they will warranty under two years since purchase… it won’t charge with my charger/maintainer any more. Hopefully it fails test at the dealer, I would love a warranty battery as a back up.
New “old school” blue handgrips installed. Factory left grip had a stupid amount of glue. RIDICULOUS! I used the hairspray method on the new Avon’s, and made sure the bolts are tight.
Ran the bike today, rode it about 45 minutes. Phone said feels like 30’, did not feel like it at 65mph. So nice to log some time, seat the brakes with the new rotors, test axle alignment and belt tension. Running great, couldn’t be happier with the winter projects. Only this left this spring is a set of pullback risers that are on the way. Maybe some different mirrors if I can find the right ones.

Mounted my right side toolbox today. Very happy with the mounting I came up with. We’ll see how it works out, will probably go ahead and order the left side as well.

I have had the pullback risers on for a while now. In order to find the pullbacks in stock, I had to go to different top clamp. It turned out great, couldn’t be happier with the pullbacks and the bars laid down.
