Default Is the Heritage Classic 114 Crap?

I have no intention of insulting any of you guys who own/ride a Softtail Heritage Classic. It looks like a beautiful bike and I would love to own one, but there are so many for sale (new & used) at my local dealer it makes me think they aren't very popular..........even in what seems to be a high demand summer for motorcycles. I checked this morning and there at least 16 2018-2020 used Heritage Classics (50/50 split on 107 or 114 motors) on their website and at least 10 new ones. They are priced anywhere from $22,000 (2020) to $18,000. Seems like a reasonable price? I recently sold my 2018 Road King because I got tired of the weight, but when I sat on the Heritage it seemed to be much lighter and better balanced. So I'm seriously considering replacing the RK with a late model Heritage, maybe even new, but I'm hesitant because of the large number for sale that no one seems to want to buy. Makes me wonder if there isn't a problem with the model that I'm not aware of. Thanks for any input and ride safe.

They are probably used rental fleets purchased all at once by the dealer.

Can't speak for newer models with bigger engines but I love my 08 Heritage with the 96" motor!

Appreciate the feedback. I realized I should have posted this in the 2018+ Softtails right after I posted it here.

I wouldn't be worrying so much about how many are out there , if that particular style of bike suits your needs than I say go for it . Pick one out , and if used request the service info on it . I think the Heritage's are a very cool bike , best of both worlds in them , stripped down or set up for travel .

Default 2018 Heritage 114

softails generally are not selling like the touring line. i have had my 114 for 2yrs, bought new, and have 50k miles on it. so far, clutch safety switch replaced and left fork seal, all under warranty. i just signed 4 extra warranty yrs, and will keep and surely see if that engine will go over 100k. i love the torque and handling and easily stay on all day with stock seat. i had to get freedom 19" lipped windshield to keep air off me better, but stock otherwise.

I absolutely love my 18 Heritage 114. I've had her for 2.5 years and it is by far the nicest riding bike I've ever owned. GITU1.

I had a 2015 RGS that was a great bike but I wasn’t using it for what it was made. I traded it for a 2020 Heritage and found that with the new suspension and frame I see why it’s listed in the touring section now. The ride is fantastic and the handling is great. I’m really glad I made the change.
The main thing is I made the change for me based on my needs not a popularity contest or ego.

I had a 18 Anniversary 114. Handled and rode real nice, but had "an oiling problem". I had a very important trip planned and cold not chance problems or leave it for diagnostics, so I traded it off. Was a pretty bike.
