This comment isn't critical of what you did.... because I am sure you are not alone...

Makes me wonder how many M8 bikes, from the first several years of production, are on the used bike market due to "an oiling problem"...?

You are correct. That is a beautiful bike.

This is why I am still on a '14 Limited and my new bike is a BMW.

Not sure they`re "CRAP" I think HD in its re-doing of this model just produced so many that they cant move them all, My dealership has the anniversary model as shown above & cant move it, I think the suspension is the best feature of the bike, other than that you will be making modifications to the bike like any of the other Heritages.

The suspension put it in touring...........But the rest of the bike is far from touring capable! I think they have a good platform with the new Heritage & if they correct some of the nuisance problems they can have a really good capable bike! that being said - I wont be buying one.

I've had two, an '07 and '08. They're hard mount and had too much engine feel for me. Wouldn't buy another one.

I'll take my 05 TC88 5 Speed over anything new these days. I was just looking at a newer model at my Indy's shop yesterday. Like the look, hate the ugly bags and seat. Not to mention when you open the saddlebag there's a big silver bracket for locking that sticks out so much, seems like it'd a problem getting much in there without a struggle, let alone a helmet.

I think the whole bagger craze is what's putting a damper on the Heritage sales, seems like everywhere I turn there's a bagger, the Heritage, not so much. Although I did put a full fairing on my Classic and I do truly love it, but to go full bagger isn't for me. I've said this over and over, every time I load up for a week long, weekender or just a full day of riding with the GF, I say I'm going to buy a bagger someday. But when we return, I look back and say, what for? My 05 does everything I want it to do.

They call the Street Glide the "Me Too" bike around here, as in, hey what do you ride? A Street Glide, Yeah "Me Too". Just not for me. Just a side note, my Heritage is far from stock. You can read her details in my Signature. And she glides.

Go for a nice Heritage, make it your own, and you won't blend in with every other Harley out there.
Case in point.

I saw where a few people had traded in 18's & 19's when Harley got
smart and put chrome back on the 2020's

The dealer was thoughtful enough to have a 2 yr old (USED) motorcycle
marked at its orig MSRP.

I've always wanted a Heritage Softail Classic and bought one a couple years ago. But not a new one. They ruined a classic with the new ones between the look and the M8.
Mine is a '13 but I'd buy an older evo before a new M8.

My guess is the dealer got the bikes from rentals. Every rental place (Eagle Rider) has Heritages between 2018-2020 as that’s what I rent when travelling. Bikes are great except for the tank badges falling off.
