Hello all
Considering only doing the front speakers and no bag speakers. I had a stage 3 setup on my last bike with the bag speakers and found them to be a pain in the butt when washing the bags and when packing the bags full. Also I couldnt hear them while riding at all.
The system creates a hiss in each individual speaker, one at a time. You select which speaker you hear by tapping on the graphical display on the screen.. (Front/Rear Left/Right). I don't know whether or not they do some sort of internal bridging if you only tell the system you have two speakers.
And.. Just to address a couple of comments above.. For the existing 2024 setup, there is no line-level audio from the head unit or amp. Just speaker level. There is no dedicated plug to connect the speakers to the wiring under the seat.
You need to insert pins into an existing 12 pin Molex plug that also shares wires for the tail/turn/brake lights. Below is a picture of the harness that comes in the saddlebag speaker installation kit. Note that one end is terminated in pins. If you Google for "Install 2024 Harley Rockford Fosgate saddlebag speakers" There's a video which shows how to insert the pins into the proper plug. (At the 10:17 mark).
