2024 SG Engine Temp
Hi all. Im new here with a 24 SG. Ive seen a few people asking about the temps on these new 24 models and thought I would post what I have noticed so far.
My bike just turned 500 miles. Today I was down at Steel Horse Rally in Ft. Smith Arkansas and was in stop and go traffic. I had my display set on engine temp and was watching very closely. I do not know where HD has the temp sensor at on these new water cooled heads.
What I have noticed is moving down the road the bike temp shows 190-215 as a normal. Today at the rally in stop/go traffic the temp showed 233 at one time. The ambient temp was showing 83* outside. I also noticed that the fan kicked on at 220. Not one time did I feel an abundance of heat from the back of the engine. Or did I feel uncomfortable on the bike. Also noticed the rear cylinder never deactivated.
Now after riding for 37 years this is my first HD. My last bike was a 1999 Valkyrie and that bike put out some heat.
