Road the bike on a hot 90F+ here in the southwest and out of curiosity I wanted to see how hot could the engine oil temp on this new center cooled motor and was surprise to see engine oil at 215F and coolant temp spiked up to 242F. Anyone care to share what your engine coolant and oil temp are you seeing?

At 104*F ambient, at a steady 80mph for 2 hours, I’ve seen it spike to 240*F engine temp (on the IFCU) and my digital oil dipstick said 231*F when I stopped.

Note that I said engine temp, not coolant temp. The only way to see coolant temp is to hook it up to a PC.

I checked my owners manual and the only indicator I found was coolant, how are able to read engine temp?

There's some confusion in the owner's manual. If you look on page 96, the temperature gauge on the bottom right of the widget shows a thermometer in a pool of liquid. I'm assuming at one time the display did indicate the coolant temperature.

But somewhere along the line they changed it. Our bikes have a different icon. (see below). This is the engine temperature. (There's a sensor in the forward head). As mentioned, to read the coolant temperature you need a scan tool capable of accessing the data. However, the red thermometer on the bottom of the display is activated by excessive coolant temperature.

242 in 104 stopped in town in July for me too, glad to hear 230 on the oil temp, and reaffirms my belief and trust in HD 360 being able to perform well, no SYN fluids needed for my bike
