Taking care of that bitchin paint would be a burden to me. I'd always be freaked out about messing it up. My old bike has swirl marks & scratches that I will probably fix at some point, but it shines and I keep it clean, and I don't worry about it getting sand blasted or water spotted like I would if I were on a new raven fade CVO. Also, CVO's come with better stuff on them, but in a short amount of time I would be thinking about what I want to change to make it mine. So it's not like I'm buying an already upgraded bike that will reduce the long-term cost, at least in my case. When it comes to toys, having a ceiling on 'what's good enough for me' rather than 'as much as I can afford' has been good for the finances.
Get the bike. I saw the Raven Fade over the summer while in Milwaukee for the Homecoming. I fell in love with it even though I just bought the new 25 Street Glide Ultra and put a ton into including just about everything a CVO has + 135 crate motor, King 6 Transmission and performance clutch. For some reason I couldn't get the Raven Fade out of my mind and kept thinking about it. My dealer got one in and I bought it immediately. Still kept the 25 SG Ultra too. I think it's one of the most beautiful colors they've has in a while. It's still at the dealer. I'm not picking up until Spring. Had a few extras put on it too.
Two great looking bikes! You are one lucky sob, lol.

I am 64, retired fully in June. I had 2016 SGS. I saw a left over 24 CVO on the floor at my local dealers. I loved the coor (Copperhead) and they had significantly dropped the price. My wife, who does not ride, asked how long do you think you will ride? I had a 98 Road King before my SGS. I test drove the CVO and made the deal. If you have the money life is short, I bought in late July and live the bike.
