Default Embedded navigation

I’m interested in getting the navigation for my 2025 SG. I’ve tried the app and tried going to the HD website and everything looks fine until a get a weird error and the purchase doesn’t go through. Dealer couldn’t help so I wanted to see if any of you have installed it successfully. Do you have to be next to the bike when you buy the navigation? I thought it said that it would be a download to my email. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Mine was installed by the dealer, maybe it requires 5G connection, same as the OTA updates ?

I used a 5 GHz WiFi connection to the bike. No Problems. Purchased from the H-D online store with my desktop computer.

If you aren't using a laptop or desktop computer to make the purchase, I would recommend it. If still having problems reboot the PC. You do not need to be next to the bike. It should get an email after the purchase. Make sure you are using the correct VIN.

I know it's comparing a 25 to a 26 but I did mine through my cellphone. I used the qr code on the infotainment screen with my cell. Turned on wifi Hotspot on my cell and made sure it was set as 5g data. From there it was just following the steps on the website on my cell.

Default 5G

My dealer told me to use only 5 G for updates and all communication to the bike. Said the bike looks for a 5G connection, not faster.
Hope this helps.
My bike is a 2025 SGU.

Just to be clear, I believe the bike wants a 5 gHz WiFi network connection not a 5G cellular network connection.

I did my update through my 5G cellular as my wifi doesn't reach my garage at the apartment complex and I don't have anywhere else to plug the tender in when doing one.

Does that mean you used your phone as a 5 gHz WiFi hotspot to the bike with a 5G cellular data connection?

I picked up a left over 25 RG yesterday and activated nav this morning using nothing but my iPhone. There is a QR code on the bike display, and I used that to start the process rather than trying to go directly to MoCo's truly shitty website. Everything went fine but you do have to shut off and restart the bike for nav to be activated.
