need help 01 electra glide oil change

Default need help 01 electra glide oil change

i dont have a mannual yet, and need to do an oil change and tranny and primary all at once last time i did it there was a website i went to that gave step by step directions, that helped very good, does anyone have pics or step by step? i know there is a plug that i am not supose to loosen>? any helps or tips would be great, i will buy a manual after this oil change i promise, lol

See attached photo 1 of plug locations if looking at pan from front of bike. Only put in 3.5 qts of oil and 22 oz of tranny fluid and 1 qt primary fluid. See attached photo 2 for your primary plug location. Tranny and Oil plugs use a pn#11105 o-ring or a -13 if you are getting it elsewhere. Also, don't forget the oil filter. Can be messy when removing if you don't take the precautions. I fill my new filter up 3/4 full with oil prior to spinning it on. Easiest to fill the primary back up through the chain inspection cover on your bike.

You can use the same oil in all 3, correct?

You can but you should'nt. Use a gear oil in the tranny, any 10w40 in the primary and a good grade 20w50 in the crankcase.
I use Belray Bigtwin in the gearbox, Belray Primary and Redline 20w50.
