Default I need to know the allen key size for st bob lowers

Guys i am by my brothers house and pulling apart my lowers... I forgot my allen keys and need to go buy the allen to break the lowers loose from the dampters, is it an 11mm? i can not recall off the top of my head. anyone know so i can go buy just that one?

it is 12mm i remember now... going to pick up an allen

Yea Joe, 12mm confirmed, just went out to the garage and checked the tool I made when I did mine.

the 2 on the axle are 5mm

This slight mixture of SAE and metric on an american motorcycle drives me nuts.

Joe, if you have a NAPA local, they have a 1/2" drive 12mm socket that is the perfect length. I think it's an air-impact socket but works great for this app.


EDIT: Napa 12mm allen socket p/n: NPT 615312

MAN this is a great little tool! went out and bought it and went home and tossed the old home made one i have in the drawer, thanks man what a great tool!
