I have TomTom Rider II on my Fat Bob. Mounting system is mix TomTom bracket with Touratech bracket. Here is few pics of my system. Power and ground i take from headlight.
I have a Street Bob but it is simple to install, but I have a 12v plug in on my fairing (so you will have to find a way to power it). I bought a RAM handle bar mount for my Garmin GPS, installed it on the left side handle bar and run the cigarette lighter style plug to my 12v source plug. It is easy to mount and viewable, light on the wallet and works like a charm. Here is a pic of the RAM mount installed:

Does anyone have some experience putting a GPS on a 2011 Fat Bob? I am not able to fabricate any brackets.
I am looking for a mount and GPS.
thanks!
I use the ZUMO 550 in my car and on my bike for six years now.
On my Dyna I use the Küryakyn Universal Handlebar Accessory Mount for 1" Handlebars which fits all 1" handlebars. The P/N is 1421, see http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...etail/IMID/931
This is how it looks on my Dyna:
Been riding for hours in rainy weather (rain showers) on my Mascot trip to Germany and France in May/August 2010 ....Zumo worked fine and still does, which leads me to the conclusion the 550 is pretty "rain proof".
I even use it to listen to music (MP3) with in ear plugs...
I ran the wires (+ has a fuse) along the neck under the tank. To get them into the tank tunnel I used a piece of thin plastic coated metal wire and inserted it into the tank tunnel from the battery side. I bent an eye into it and pulled the GPS wiring towards the battery and connected the wire ends directly to the battery studs.
I posted a thread that has a Ram-Mount mount that is made for cycling. I put this same bracket on my Street Bob and added some safety wire in addition to the two zip ties. I now have two clips that can be swapped out on the mount, one for iPhone and other is for my GPS. I had to but to of the kits from Amazon ($10 each, I could not find the clip backing by itself on Amazon or the Ram-Mount Site) and then the clip for the GPS ($5-$10). So for $30 I can use either device, just one at a time.

Ram Mounts is from my old Garmin´s mounts and Touratech mounts i bought for my old Buell XB12X years ago. Both old and unuse staff. Though years ago that Touratech cost over 180 bucks ;-)
