Just thought I'd share results so far...
This is stock

This is de-catted stock pipe which I also had ceramic coated

Now with SUPERTRAPP 4" STOUTS for 2011-2012

Same pipes with the difference being the second clip they are ceramic coated, hummm sounds different..interesting.

The catalytic convert removed from the head pipe.
The ceramic coating doesn't change sound...

Good job...I know there's a huge # of touring owners wanting this exact comparison. Gives them exact side-by-side audio on pre/post CAT sound. Thanks for taking the time to post - it will be put to use by many.

Exactly why I did it... under same conditions. Same place, same camera, same bike.
I couldn't find any clips anywhere...

thx for the comparison videos. i happen to also live in 06095. installed V&H Monster Rounds slips but still not quite happy. Waiting for de-catted head pipes, hopefully it'll do what I'm looking for.

No changes except killing the kitty...
Which will be my only change from what SuperTrapp suggests-

"KN is a perfect choice for filter, you also want to look at theirs (or any other) air box upgrades; Screaming eagle is great also. Something that opens up the air inlet.
NO fuel changes, no downloads, nothing.

i think i'm happy now...got it swapped out...deeper rumble...but not obnoxiously loud...still able to hear tunes...now i want to upgrade speakers...

It's better with the de-catted pipe, but still doesn't sound like a HD should..
I've made my choice on slip-ons and will post video once I get them..
