i figure if you want them black i would just spray bedliner on the pegs. this way you know it will hold up. plasti dip isnt perminate. when i did the rims on my truck i figured i would plasti dip them to see if i like the black. if i dont in 6 months i will just peel it off. if i like it i would at some time peel it off and get black wheel paint and do it right. but for now it looks great.
decided to just spray it up with some black paint. maybe make them look better later but for right now, here they are.
Plasti dipped my coil cover and e box..turned out well.
looks great! the good thing about those areas is that your legs don't really make contact with it. the battery cover on the other hand, my leg rubbed that up.

Hey, too little too late, but I noticed in this pic you pegs are sorta drooping down...where the outside of the peg is lower than the inside.
The little allen screw adjusts this lateral angle...some guys like them straight out...level....I like to have mine adjusted so that the outside of the peg sits about 1/2" higher than the inside. This give quite a bit more lean angle before touching down.
That said, I have scraped every peg and floorboard on every bike I have ever had. lol
I dont seee it holding up if you use it on pegs. If you rub a plasti dip surface it comes off. Plasti dip is good for things you dont touch. I did my truck rims in it and its great. But if i start scatching at it, it will lift an edge and come right off.
Got two coats on the body already. Will put a couple more coats on and see how it holds up.
Not often, I do have a cover on it, wonder if the wind pounding the cover will cause damage. Only one way to wind out, I guess I have a weekend project now.
