Default DIY blackout (FXDWG)

I have been using Plasti-Dip for car applications for a few years, every time, it has come out great! thought I would give it a try on the bike. if it didn't look good, i can just peel it off, and would be good to go, but so far, looks great.

thanks! i plan on getting them done this week, including the dash panel, the ring around the speedo, maybe the gas cap/fuel gauge. its going to be hard to paint anything on the bike, but I just ordered some new handlebars, among some other stuff, and will most likely paint them then. rear suspension could be done too, but i have no lift.

I did my signals, lowers, and my 10 spoke wheels with that stuff over a year ago. It still looks great. I commute with my bike and my ride to work is 60 miles of interstate each way. There are no chips or any deterioration anywhere on the items that I coated.

Does that stuff come in a spray can? Does it look glossy when applied, but then look more matte black when it dries?

I have a few parts that I would like to try that stuff on!

It does go on glossy but will dry flat. Touch up is easy as is applying multiple coats. The new layer dissolves and bonds with the existing layer. The best place I've found to buy the spray is at Home Depot. About 6 bucks a can.
