[quote=Dustmaker;4308219]Where do you put the 2x4??? Between the tire and "what"?
Between the tire and the ground. By the way I did not get oil all over my shocks either, but a rag would take care of that. Who the hell looks at shocks on a softail anyway?
Ok, I think everyone missed the sale but I found their website http://accessoriessw.com/content/dia...suspension-kit I ordered the pre '99 kit for my brothers Big Dog. I picked it up for 395+ shipping. You do have to call in, but what the hey? It looks pretty solid in the pic, Supposedly everything is made in the USA except the compressor. When we get it installed I will post the results. If I forget PM me and I will give you a status. It should be here in the next couple days, and I will give my thought on the quality of it. Wont have proof until after it's installed. If the compressor is Viair, they bullet proof.
yes please give a review after you install this system. im looking into an airide so all doors are open to me
+1.....................does anyone know wut kinda setup it is.................is it just air to raise it and let the air out to drop it??..............if it leaks does the bike drop or is it a 1 way valve???
I'm a firm believer that "you get what you pay for." That's not to say that sometimes you can't find a smoking deal on a product, and walk away a winner. But from what I've read about Demon Cycles, I don't believe that you even get what you pay for with them.....you just get shafted.
Be careful, you might end up spending more money in the long run. I feel you should spend the money and have a peace of mind than worry about it. Go with a company that will back their products. I went with the SAS system. The only issue was the tranny drain plug, you have to the drop the shocks which is not hard. Make a wise decision they have lots of reputable companys that make really great products. Good Luck..

I'll be putting Shotgun Shocks on next week, let ya know how they ride. Did quite a fair bit of reading and they seem to know what there on about. Pricey though.
Nobody offers the ride and handling adjustments like Shotgun.
I've had the shock since spring, and it's like riding a totally different bike.
I can go from soft and cushy, to a totally firm rebound on the fly if I feel like carving up the twisties.
Unlike everybody else, the air intake from either side of the barrel allows you can slam the bike "with" air pressure instead of having to release it.
It takes a half of a second to spring it right back up to full travel, instead of waiting for the shock to repressurize like all the others...
I hardly ever have to use the compressor to get what I want from the suspension, just slightly adjust one side or the other with about 5 seconds of air..
I give shotgun a couple more years to benefit from word of mouth from happy customers. They will become the premier design that everybody will be using.
George I've been waiting to hear more about the shotgun system from someone who owns it before buying. Thanks for the info, it just pushed me past the SAS.
